To give students a strong foundation for Leaving Certificate German.

To have a basic cultural and linguistic appreciation for German and gain an interest in German speaking world.

To expand on topics dealt with in year 2 and complete the curriculum for Junior Certificate.

Listen and extract specific information from video/dvd/cd.

Listening Comprehension: 140 marks
Reading Comprehension: 100 marks
Written Expression: 80 marks
Exam duration: 2.5 hours
