Fé-14 Hurlers complete a magnificent School "Treble"
06 March, 2012
Well done to the Fé-14 'A' Hurling team who retained the Corn Daithí de Brúin when securing a comprehensive victory over great rivals St. Colman's Fermoy at CIT on Fri 2nd March. Well done goes to capt Jack McDonnell (Aghada) and his teammates along with team coaches, Niall Ahern and Brian O'Callaghan.
This team has one more competition remaining in the school yr - The Rice Cup - run for CBS teams from the South of Ireland. This competition will take place in the coming weeks. Initially it will be run as a Blitz with top two teams from each Blitz going forward to the Q-Finals. Among this years opponents will be a team from Mullingar !
Here's hoping that they can go one step more then last yr's tremendous team, whose only defeat through the school yr was in the final of the Rice Cup. The last time the school won the trophy was in 2006 with a team containing a young Conor Lehane !
