IMTA Math Awards

Congratulations to Michael Creedon, Oran Byrne, and Sean Hanrahan, who achieved the highest scores in Midleton CBS in this year’s Irish Maths Teachers Association (IMTA) First Year Competition. In recognition of their excellent performances, they received awards from the IMTA. The lads are pictured with their Maths teacher Ms. Murray and Principal Mr. Ahern and Deputy Ms. Groome.
The IMTA First Year Competition, which has been running since 1994, attracted over 18,500 entries from 280 schools across the country this year. The contest consists of multiple-choice brain teasers completed within a single class period, designed to challenge students’ problem-solving skills and mathematical thinking.
