Midleton CBS (3-11) vs St. Colman's College, Fermoy (0-14)

CBS won their 5th O'Callaghan Cup title in recent times and their 2nd in 3 hrs, when they overcame St.Colmans, Fermoy in an entertaining game on Fri 25th Nov, under the lights at C.I.T. Grounds Cork. Both teams recorded 17 scores, the difference being that 3 of those Midleton scores were goals. Encouraging signs for Midleton as they now turn their attention to preparation for the Harty Cup Q-Final on Jan 18th, opposition yet to be confirmed. As the Yanks might say, CBS has now a 6 and 0 record in all championship competitions so far this season. Well done to Dillon Cahill (Cloyne) who was also picked as man of the match on the night, kindly sponsored by competition sponsors, Rochestown Park Hotel. The other good news for Midleton was the long-awaited comeback of team skipper Cormac Walsh for the 2nd half, who thankfully came through unscathed.
