Students Win Award for Erasmus "the Islands" Project.

Some lucky fourth year students took part in an Erasmus Plus trip to the Azores before the summer. Their project 'The Islands' focused on the similarities and difficulties faced by islanders in both countries. Students researched and presented their findings to their peers on the topics; Landscape, Fishing, Cuisine, Tourism and Emigration. In the Azores they dramatised short pieces to highlight the plight of Emigration on families from island nations. Their project received a National Quality Award this week from the Etwinning wing of Erasmus Plus. The teachers involved were Sorcha ní Riain, Carol Fynn and Ellen Barrett.
