School Mass and Visit with Bishop Crean

10 October, 2025

It was a special day today for our school community as we came together in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton for our School Community Mass. Our heartfelt thanks to Bishop William Crean for celebrating the mass and visiting our school.

Students and staff were joined by members of the Past Pupils Union in a wonderful celebration of faith and community. The Mass was a meaningful occasion that brought together the extended CBS family to reflect, give thanks, and look forward with hope.

Following the ceremony, Bishop Crean visited our school, where he was warmly welcomed by students and staff. He toured the school building, visiting classrooms and engaged with students in Art, Construction, Technology, and several other subjects. His kind words and genuine interest in the students’ work were greatly appreciated.

As a token of gratitude Bishop Crean was presented with two handcrafted wooden pieces, to mark his visit.

A ceremony as special as this requires the efforts of many. We extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed and everyone involved in the preparation and organisation of the Mass. Your dedication helped make this occasion such a memorable and uplifting celebration for our entire school community.

Our thanks also to Monsignor Jim Killeen, Fr John Ryan, Deacon Tiernan Burke, & the members of the parish who assisted.
