Rice Cup and Cork Colleges Victories

It’s been a busy and successful time for the u14 hurlers. Having progressed through the Rice Cup , we met Kilkenny CBS in the final. After a tight first half, the lads pulled away in the second half with a dominant display, eventually coming out on top with a score line of 2-14 to 6.
The next outing saw us take on St. Colman’s of Fermoy in the Cork Colleges final. Trailing two points at half time, the lads had it all to do in the second half. Following two terrific goals from Timmy Wilk, we pulled away in the final quarter, coming out victorious on a score line of 2-12 to 11.
This finished off a brilliant year for the u14 hurlers, having won four competitions in total. More impressively, we continued to have eighty students out every week training at break or after school.
