Midleton CBS students make donation to HOPE

On Tuesday 1st March, five fourth year students from midleton cbs arrived in the Cope Foundation in Midleton to donate some money to the organisation. Vince Rohan, Olan Steele, eoghan o Sullivan Jordan Daly and David Lawton visited Cope with their teacher Rebecca Quirke to donate €535 to the foundation.

The 5 transition year students donated this money as part of their profits from their very successful mini company "GAAlendar" which sold GAA calendars of the various local clubs around East Cork in the last few months. Olan Steele manager of the company also featured on Cork's Red FM as the "local legend" and spoke about the company and the experience they had setting it up.

He also discussed the charity aspect of the company and how all members decided to donate 15% of their profits to a very worthy foundation in their local community. Teacher Ms. Quirke and the school are very proud of the students.
